St Osyth robber threatened staff with six inch knife

A CROOK wanted for an armed robbery threatened staff with a six inch kitchen knife.
The man stole a three figure sum of cash from the Spar shop, in Spring Road, St Osyth at 9pm on Thursday.
The robber then fled into Chapel Lane.
The robber wore dark trousers, a dark grey turtle-neck jumper with a black hoodie underneath and a black balaclava.
He is described as a white man, slim and 5ft 8ins tall.
A 15-year-old from Brightlingsea, who was arrested on Thursday in connection with the robbery, has been released without charge.
Investigating Officer, Dc Daniel Jefferies, appealed for witnesses to call Clacton Police Station on 101.
He said: “As well as witnesses to the robbery and those who can help identify the attacker, we’re also keen to hear from people who may find any discarded knife in the area.”
