THE killers of a man who was attacked in the early hours of New Year's Day have been sentenced by a judge.
Charlie Jacobs, 22, was jailed for 15 and a half years after being found guilty of murdering Oli Smith-Daye in Clacton.
Ex-girlfriend Elisha Francois was jailed for six years for manslaughter at Chelmsford Crown Court.
They attacked their victim in Trimley Close just before 4.30am on January 1.
Mr Smith-Daye, 29, of West Avenue, Clacton, died later at Colchester General Hospital.
Jacobs and Francois, both of Trimley Close, denied killing him but were convicted by a jury.
