Serious crash on A12

TWO people were injured during a serious collision on the A12.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the northbound carriageway following the crash at about 4.30pm today.
A red Renault Clio and white Ford Fiesta collided near to the off slip road for the A12 at Marks Tey.
Two lanes were closed while fire crews from Colchester, Coggeshall and Tiptree helped cut out the driver of the Ford Fiesta, a woman in her 40s, who was
medically trapped.
Police cordoned off the scene and paramedics treated patients for suspected neck and chest injuries.
By 5.10pm delays were building and drivers were warned to avoid the area.
