THIS parking warden should be issuing herself a ticket.

An eagle-eye resident caught the North Essex Parking Partnership warden flouting the very law she is employed to enforce.

The car pulled up on double yellow lines, close to a corner, in St Peter’s Street, on Monday night.

David Eade, Claudius Court resident, snapped a picture of the offence.

He said: “Luckily for her, it looks like she'd ran out of blank parking tickets by the time she returned to her car."

Under the law wardens are allowed to park on double yellow lines, but only when there are no legal spots available.

A North Essex Parking Partnership Spokesman said: “We will remind staff of details of this exemption for future reference.”

Surprise, surprise, they do it all the time and no matter who complains this practice will continue and North Essex Parking Partnership won't do anything to stop it.

It's not about parking it's about making money, parking agents in this town are making a fortune, the traders are losing out because most people shop in Ipswich now you can park and ride with out the worry of returning to your car to find a clamp on the wheel or a ticket on the screen you need to get rid of the parking agent parasites

2 blue cars also on yellow lines,
maybe they are blue badge enabled.

wonder if the parasites car has found a blue badge :)

The 2 blue cars are on a Single Yellow line which is only enforceable Mon-Fri 8am-6pm. The Warden could have parked there assuming this picture was taken in the evening. You hardly ever see Wardens walking beats now. They are all mainly in cars. Quick in and out job. Wardens do not have any exemption to park on Double Yellow lines. Only emergency vehicles have this right.

The driver of the blue car on the right of the picture is also committing an offence by parking opposite a junction.

How exactly are Traders losing out? If people parked up in Car Parks instead of 'just popping' to the shops leaving cars on yellow lines or Goods Vehicle loading bays no one would get fines.

If you get a parking fine it's because you've parked somewhere you shouldn't have - it's that simple.

Ps - NEPP/Councils don't clamp cars - private companies do - they're the ones who are all about making money.
