Tractor and lorry crash on A12

A CRASH between a tractor and a lorry caused one lane of the A12 at Stanway to be blocked.
The collision between the two vehicles occurred around 10am on the southbound stretch of the road on Tuesday.

The lorry driver was taken to Colchester General Hospital.
An Essex Police spokesman said he was not thought to have suffered serious injuries.

Tractors should be banned from roads like the A12, especially at rush hour. On a couple of occasions I myself have been driving along at 70 in the inside lane only to have to slow down sharply behind one going 20 miles an hour - dangerous!
