More than a burglary a day in Greenstead

BURGLARY rates in Greenstead have trebled to more than one-a-day according to figures just released.
 

Crime figures for July, released today, revealed the burglary rate on and within a mile radius of the estate rose from 11 in July 2011 to 36 in July 2012.

Here we go again! The gazette is using the Essex police crime map that shows Greenstead as being the whole eastern side of Colchester. Longridge Park, Avondale, Parsons Heath, Welshwood Park, Harwich Road etc are not shown even though some of the crimes were actually committed in those areas!

I can count 16 burglaries within the boundaries of what is known as Greenstead. 8 of those appear to be the same property or very, very close and 1 is actually on the roundabout!

To be honest, the place to avoid looks to be Culver Street West. 28 crimes, almost one a day!!

culver street west none of those 28 are actually burglaries.

Lets face it the whole of colchester has its rough spots but white city and greenstead and pretty much most the surrounding areas are kinda the worst now :/
