Layer Road houses on sale from next month

HOUSES on Colchester Utd’s former ground are set to go on sale.
Layer Road was demolished last year to make way for 58 new houses and a memorial garden dedicated to U’s fans whose ashes were scattered at the ground.
Haart, the estate agents based on Head Street, Colchester, has been appointed by Abbey Homes to start selling houses at Layer Road.
The site will now be turned into a 7-acre estate called Oyster Place.
A first showhome will be available to browse around by the end of October.
