Woman on night out hit by car

A WOMAN hit by a car on a night out is recovering in hospital.


The 25-year-old was struck by the vehicle at around 12.45am on Saturday morning.


The incident occurred outside Bar 19, in Colchester’s Head Street.


An Essex ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called after a collision between a woman and a car on Head Street.

“She suffered non-serious injuries.”

The woman was taken to Colchester General Hospital.

I sometimes have to drive through the town centre late at night, and people do tend to throw themselves into the road like lemmings. Always amazes me, they seem oblivious to any vehicles.

I always feel a little worried, because of course as the driver, I would probably be the one who ends up being vilified for it.

Quite agree the other day someone walked into the side of my car when I was driving through town, Then I got sworn at by the man.
