Man confronts young girls in Colchester

POLICE are hunting a man who made unwanted lewd suggestions to young teenage girls in Colchester.
 

The man approached two 14-year-old girls in broad daylight along the busy Lexden Road just before 6pm on Tuesday, August 21.
 

He started talking to them before making comments about inappropriate and lewd acts and then walked off towards Spring Lane.
 

PC Jon Hardy said: “We have spent the last week interviewing these 14-year-old girls, using specially-trained officers.

 

“This has now left us in a position to ask for help from local residents to identify a man."
 

The man is white and aged in his late 20s or early 30s.
 

He is about 5ft 6ins tall with a slim build and a small round head.
 

He had short, straight dark hair, a large forehead.
 

He is believed to live locally as he had a local accent.
 

At the time he was wearing a blue t-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms and dirty white trainers.
