Thugs snap man's leg during serious assault in Colchester town centre

VIOLENT thugs stamped on a man's leg while he was lying on the ground in Colchester High Street.

Police are appealing for information following the serious assault in the town centre between 3.30am and 4am on  Sunday, August 12.

The victim, a 27-year-old from Colchester, was knocked to the ground outside Marks and Spencer and Happy Snaps.

His leg was then broken.

CCTV did not capture the serious assault so police are keen to speak to witnesses to help identify those responsible.

Anyone with information call Det Con Peter Wood at Colchester police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

See Wednesday's Gazette for the full story and interview with the victim.

Makes you wonder what use CCTV and its cost is useful for. Most of the time any pictures from it are rubbish. I can take better pictures with my phone.
