COLCHESTER'S race walker Dominic King has completed his Olympic race in London.
Dad Steve described his 29-year-old son as a “true Olympian” after he came last – in 51st place - in Saturday’s 50km race.
It took Dominic four hours, 15 minutes and five seconds, to complete the gruelling race which saw eight others disqualified and four pull out.
Thousands lines the streets to watch the event which began at 9am and saw competitors set off down The Mall on the first of 25 two-kilometre laps past Buckingham Palace, down towards Constitution
