A MAN is due to appear in court today after being charged with firearms offences following a disturbance in Walton.
Police were contacted shortly before 11:30pm on Tuesday following reports of a disturbance inside a block of flats in Spendells Close.
Officers arrived and arrested Damien Spear before subsequently charging him with one count of being in possession of a firearm (air weapon) with intent to cause fear.
The 21-year-old unemployed man from Junction Road, Tufnell Park, London, has been detained in police custody prior to his appearance at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court.
