Colchester Race for Life cancelled

The Colchester Race for Life has been cancelled due to safety concerns caused by the waterlogged route.
About 3,000 women were due to take part in the event to raise money for Cancer Research UK today.
However, organisers decided to postpone the event because the route was submerged due to persistent rain yesterday.
Gill Burgess, event manager, apologised to participants for the disappointment but said they had no choice.
The event will be run in September 30.
