Hour stoppage by fire crews passes without incident

NO emergency calls were made to the fire brigade during a one hour strike this morning.

Members of the Fire Brigade Union (FBU) in Essex walked out between 4-5am today in a dispute over cuts.

Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said there were no fire calls during the industrial action.

Talks with the union are continuing through the government conciliation service ACAS prior to the next planned action, a 24-hour stoppage on July 18.

At the risk of getting rude comments to me unless you are a firefighter you have no idea....I.e...the couple of thousand of brave firefighters who were on the front line for weeks in our Colorado fire

Get on with the job that we taxpayers pay you to do. You should be ashamed of yourselves with your selfish actions to feather your own nests.
