A FORMER mayor of Colchester has revealed she will never feel safe in her home again unless the burglars who broke in on her are brought to justice.

Helen Chuah, 62, was confronted by three men who smashed their way into her house while she was home alone.

Police are renewing the appeal for information and have released an e-fit of one of the suspects.

The burglary took place just before 4.30pm on Wednesday, May 30 in St John's Road.

Three men broke in and ran off when confronted with the owner.

All three are white, in their late teens and were wearing shorts. They ran off towards a set of shops on nearby St Christopher Road.

Anyone with information call Colchester police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
