Missoula has no plans to appeal opening hours decision

A COLCHESTER bar has given up on trying to open until 3am every Thursday for a student night.

Missoula, in Head Street, Colchester, has ruled out appealing against Colchester Council’s decision, A spokeswoman said: “There are no plans to appeal the Council’s decision.”

The bar was refused permission on June 1, after Essex Police said the later opening hours would lead to an increase in crime and disorder in the town centre.

So to reduce crime and disorder in the town centre when applications for renewal are made the police will be objecting unless they are for an earlier closing time??
