SCOUTS and guides in Wivenhoe are looking for votes to help them raise cash for building improvements.
The Wivenhoe Scout and Guide Association is bidding for a £5,000 grant from Lloyds Banking Group.
It is competing against two Ipswich-based community groups to win the cash for the area, and needs to get the most votes to bag the prize.
The fundraising is part of a drive to collect £20,000 to improve the association’s hall, situated behind the town council offices in the High Street.
A refurbishment will see better lighting, heating, toilets and a new kitchen installed.
The hall is used by around 170 scouts and guides and ten other community groups on a regular basis.
People have until midnight on September 9 to vote for the association.
To vote visit the Lloyds Community Grant site and search for Wivenhoe Scout.
