IN TODAY'S GAZETTE: A COMPANY has accused Colchester Council of ignoring its offer to kickstart the regeneration of the St Botolph's Quarter.
Tribecka Properties says it wants to build three new hotels in the town and create 300 jobs but Colchester Council said it had not been approached.
* A man faces jail after he was found guilty of secretly filming teenage boys at Dovercourt Swimming Pool.
Dana Oneim, 55, had to be moved from his home in Victoria Street, Dovercourt, following vigilant attacks after he was found guilty of three charges of voyeurism.
* A fisherman has landed what is thought to be the largest stingray ever caught in the UK.
Tony Talbot, who sells fish from Tony's Fresh Fish stall in Point Clear, netted the 72 lbs and 7 oz fish at Beach Head, two miles off Mersea.
* Experts are trying to stop a pesticide, which has already killed thousands of fish in the River Colne, from flowing into Colchester.
