Time running out for Diamond Jubilee party planners

TIME to organise a Diamond Jubilee street party is running out.
Road closure applications for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee must be submitted by May 14.
Applications should be sent to essex.gov.uk/streetparties or call 0845 603 7631.
More than 3,000 people have already visited goodforessex.org/streetparties with almost 1,000 promotional packs distributed.
Peter Martin, leader of Essex County Council, said: “The Diamond Jubilee is a momentous occasion and we’ve had a great response already. I have no doubt that there will be celebrations taking place all over the county.”
