Halstead: MP shows support for gay marriage

Halstead's MP is supporting a controversial proposal to allow same sex marriage.
This is despite the Most Reverend Archbishop of Westminster, Vincent Nichols, claiming the true meaning of marriage will be lost if David Cameron’s latest plans to extend it to same sex couples goes ahead.
Married father-of-five Brooks Newmark, whose constituency includes Halstead, said: "I share the Prime Minister's support for same sex marriage and I believe society is stronger when we make commitments to each other and support one another."
