SAFETY concerns have been raised over plans to put up 45 metre high antennas near a hospital.
Skyline Networks, an Epping based firm, has applied to Colchester Council for permission to put up four antennas to boost broadband signals.
The grey and white steel structures will be based at Colchester General Hospital, Turner Road.
They will supply internet to businesses at Severalls Park and the Teys.
But Myland councillor Martin Goss, has launched a formal objection to the plans.
He is concerned about its proximity to schools and said he is not convinced by safety reports.
