A FLOOD alert has been issued for the coast between Clacton and Bradwell this evening.
The Environment Agency said the forecast high water is due at 9.15pm on Thursday evening.
A flood alert - the lowest of the three categories of flood risk - means flooding is possible and people should be prepared.
The alert covers the Essex coast from Clacton to St Peter’s Flat, Bradwell, including the river Colne and river Blackwater estuaries.
