Do ya think I’m sexy? Vote for your hottest MP

A NEW website asking users to rank MPs in order of sexiness has rated Witham MP Priti Patel the hottest in north Essex.

Conservative Ms Patel, whose constituency includes Stanway and Tiptree, was yesterday ranked 23rd out of 648 in the table by sexymp.co.uk Colchester’s Bob Russell, 65, was languishing at 573rd.

Ms Patel, 39, once dubbed one of Premier David Cameron’s Cuties, said: “I’m sure it will raise a few eyebrows.

“But if the public have voted for it, then I support it.

“People should continually be able to have a say about their MP.”

Visitors are shown photos of two MPs and asked to click on the one they find more attractive. The website is founded by 22-year-old Francis Boulle, who appears in the reality TV show Made In Chelsea.

He said the aim of the website was to create a fun and memorable tool to help the public get to know their MPs, although he admitted he expected it to offend some people.

How our MPs rated on the website yesterday: 23rd: Priti Patel (Con, Witham) 108th: Bernard Jenkin (Con,Harwich and North Essex) 313th: Douglas Carswell(Con, Clacton) 325th: Brooks Newmark (Con, Braintree) 339th: John Whittingdale (Con, Maldon) 573rd: Bob Russell (Lib Dem, Colchester)

What utter trash. 'People should continually be able to have a say about their MP.' Yeah, on matters of policy, or corruption, not tittle tattle. I've never heard of this show ('Made in Chelsea'), but it's sounds like what I'd expect from reality TV 'culture' - nothing whatsoever to do with reality

Ha ha! Brilliant!

I'd put an X (chromosome) in her box.

With so many MP's involved in sex scandals I think their attention should be drawn away from the subject so they can get on with their job.

'Some MPs are less than impressed with the site though, with Labour’s Sheila Gilmore quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: ‘I don’t think sites like this are particularly desirable or helpful. We should be judged by what we say and what we do, not on our appearance.' So said a particularly ugly one.

Nice one, sdapeze! Winston, lighten up, fella, it might never happen! Of course MPs should be judged on their policies, not how they look - but I'll tell you now that 90% of the bovine public wouldn't know a policy if it came and slapped them on the face, so this may be the only time they ever get involved. You two, though clearly from opposite ends of the political spectrum, at least have concrete views, and I respect that.

Romantic, you're being a total snob again - stop it!

All the top seven are Tories. All the bottom three are Labour. Obviously it is mainly the ovine Tories who go in for this kind of drivel. Tee hee....
And Priti has slipped to 28th.

Ovine is indeed more appropriate, I stand corrected :)

I've never been called a snob before! But on reflection, I will - once again - stand corrected and revise my ovine percentage to 80%. Happy now? :)

Really?! I might not have used the actual word, but I certainly said it to you in so many words once before. As anybody who's been on the top of Scafell Pike or somewhere else where where the sheep lose their fear can testify, they can then be quite intelligent animals. I've seen them nab many a hikers' lunch.

'Four legs good, two legs better' (24 hours is a long time in politics).

The SNP have taken top spot. Devolution is a shoe-in it seems.

Wonder how ciccolina would do?

Yes, that pretty Scottish lady is top, and who could disagree? And there are now only two Tory ladies in the top 8. The ovine Labour groupies must have been hard at work.
Priti has plummeted to 102nd.
Bob has slipped further to 600th.
