Free health checks for people aged 40 to 74 are to continue this month.
A mobile unit will be touring Colchester and Tendring again to assess residents’ risk of developing chronic illnesses such as heart disease, stroke, kidney disease or diabetes.
The tests are being carried out by Anglian Community Enterprise, a social enterprise which has taken over responsibility for community healthcare.
They will measure blood cholesterol, blood pressure, blood glucose, body mass index and waist measurement.
The results will be shared with patients’ GPs.
The unit will be outside ASDA in Turner Rise between February 28 and March 1. On March 2 it will visit Oaktree Community Centre, Harwich Road, Colchester.
It moves to Tesco, Church Road, Tiptree on March 3, Co-op, Church Road, Tiptree on March 4, Pier Avenue, Clacton on March 5 and the Co-op in Riverside Avenue, Manningtree on March 6.
Alternatively call 01206 363007 to book a Colchester appointment or 01206 288538 for a Tendring appointment.
