THOUSANDS of visitors took advantage of the warm weather to visit the Colchester oyster fair.
With no street carnival to enjoy this year organisers were not sure how their first event would go.
But they need not of worried as more than 8,000 visitors and 1,000 oysters showed up.
Castle Park, Colchester, hosted the event, on Saturday September 4, with live music, choirs, food and drink stalls, raffles, eating competitions and animal petting among the activities on offer.
