A NEW plan is being put together to guide Colchester’s economy for the next five years.
The economic development strategy is designed to create jobs, opportunities and facilities for residents up to 2015.
Colchester’s economy is worth about £17 billion with more than 20,000 businesses.
97,800 people are “economically active” which represents 82.5 per cent of the working population.
