Two men needed hospital treatment after a fight at Chelmsford Railway Station.

Police from Chelmsford and the British Transport Police were called to the incident, involving around eight men, early on Sunday morning.

A British Transport Police spokeswoman said the fight appeared to have started inside the station but then spilled out into the street.

One man was treated at Broomfield Hospital for injuries to his head, face and hands before being released.

Four men have been bailed pending further inquiries.

In two separate attacks in the town on Friday night three people needed hospital treatment.

The second incident, in Victoria Road, happened between 10.30pm and 11pm when three teenagers were set upon by a gang of up to ten men.

One of the boys is still in Broomfield Hospital being treated for serious facial injuries.
