Fire investigation officers have visited a Rochford school to probe the cause of blaze which gutted one of its outbuildings.
Police believe arsonists may be responsible for the fire which wrecked the building at the King Edmund School in Vaughan Close.
Officers from Rayleigh police were called to the scene at 1.10pm yesterday.
Chief Insp Steve Bottrill, of Rayleigh police, said: "Fire investigators are looking through the wreckage today to try and find out the cause of the blaze, but it is believed to be arson."
