Kemal Izzet believes the win over Grimsby could be the spark that fires Colchester United up the table into the Second Division promotion play-off zone.

The livewire U's midfielder, who sealed the 2-0 win with his second goal in five days, told the Evening Gazette: "This was a massive result for us coming after just one win in eight previous League games.
"We simply have to turn things around if we want to get back into contention for the play-offs. And just eight points adrift with 16 games left to play, we are more than capable of doing it.
"We will be looking for a finish to the season like last year when we lost only three times in our final 17 games.
"A repeat of that will hoist us somewhere near our goal."
