North Essex GPs will receive lessons on service delivery

GPs and their staff will be going back to the classroom to brush up on new developments in both service delivery and training.

The half day session will take place on the afternoon of Tuesday March 23 at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in Colchester.

Tracy Buckingham, practice based commissioning executive officer at NHS North East Essex said: “It is very important that GPs and their staff stay up to date with the latest developments in service changes and training.

Whilst north essex GPs are in the session, the local out-of-hours provider, Harmoni, will be providing cover between 12.30pm-6.30pm.

Anyone needing assistance during these times should not attend their surgery but should contact Harmoni on 0845 602 5215.

Harmoni won’t be able to provide test results or book routine appointments.

One of the receptionists at the surgery I go to seems to think she has the right to tell you that you cannot see the doctor or speak to them. One of the doctors there could do with going back to medical school not just to a lesson on service delivery.
