HOMELESS dogs are attracting attention by wearing “adopt me” coats.
RSPCA staff are walking and advertising the cute canines using specially made, high-visibility jackets.
The Wethersfield Danaher animal home’s plan seems to be working, as people in Braintree stopped to ask questions about the dogs.
When volunteer Victoria Hall took mongrels Chips and Sonny out in their jackets in the town for the first time, she was delighted at people’s responses.
She said: “There was a huge amount of interest and a lot of people stopped and wanted to know about the dogs.
“It’s a brilliant way of drawing attention to the fact we have some smashing dogs, urgently in need of loving homes.”
