T-shirts spell out anti-violence message

3:53pm Friday 27th November 2009

WOMEN who have been through the trauma of domestic violence have designed T-shirts to raise awareness.

The clothesline project began in America and has found its way across the Atlantic as a way of increasing awareness of the impact of domestic abuse.

The shirts have graphic messages and illustrations that have been designed and produced by women.

Colchester and Tendring Women’s Refuge are looking for venues where the T-shirts can be displayed.

For more information, call the outreach department of the Colchester and Tendring Women’s Refuge on 01206 867120.
