BOXING fans are running out of time to get tickets to see Mike Tyson in person.
“Iron” Mike, the youngest ever heavyweight champion of the world, is coming to Five Lakes Golf and Country Club in Tolleshunt Knights, on Saturday.
The sporting legend is bringing some friends with him as part of his Come Back to the Fans tour.
Braintree-based promoter Jimmy Clyne has secured the visit, where Mike will be speaking to fans and offering the chance of a meet and greet at the four-date tour. Joining him from the boxing world will be fellow former heavyweight world champion Tim Witherspoon, who famously beat Frank Bruno during the British boxer’s first world title fight.
British middleweight Michael Watson will also be available to chat to boxing fans. A brain injury ended his career.
Scottish world lightweight champion Ken Buchanan, Big Joe Egan, Dave Boy Green and Lew “Wild Thing” Yates complete the line-up of guests, but there is more on the bill, with music from Miss Understood and 4th Street.
Mr Clyne said: “It is getting really hectic now, but there are still some tickets left.”
