BIKER Charley Boorman was at full throttle during a book signing in Colchester.
The globetrotting documentary-maker hit top gear penning autographs as a horde of fans queued to meet him and pose for pictures at Waterstone’s in Culver Square.
The son of film director John Boorman and best friend of Hollywood actor Ewan McGregor was in town to promote his book Ride to the Edge, about his latest adventures travelling the world on a motorcycle.
Two glistening mean machines were parked outside the shop to mark the appearance, which store manager Mark Goddard said had proved a huge hit with the public.
He said: “We had a great turnout and he was one of the nicest people we’ve met for a long time.”
