X FACTOR contestant William Hooper is the star attraction at an event for older people in Clacton next month.
The 82-year-old Clacton singer will be at the town’s library, in Station Road, on Thursday, October 1 for International Day of Older Persons.
Mr Hooper, of Imperial Court, impressed judges with his Sinatra renditions and is now through to the competition’s Boot Camp stage. Tendring Pensioners Action Group Helping Hands and a police community support officer will also be there. Library staff will show visitors how to use the internet to research their family history and the Home Library Service will have a display, too.
