House left uninhabitable by fire

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a house on a Colchester estate.

Two crews from Colchester and one from Wivenhoe were called to the semi-detached house in Berryman Close, on the Greenstead estate, at 12.05am.

They spent 45 minutes putting out the fire, which began in the downstairs living room.

The blaze was contained in the one room, but the rest of the house suffered severe smoke, heat and water damage.

It is being treated as suspicious.

Mr Butthead,
you confess too easily as to your Brooklands fires.
Your famed spokesperson on live Anglia news last Friday told all viewers the best case scenario was regeneration.
Perhaps pingus quote is more alarming though, as it seems apathy has spread from your Jaywick now to Colchester aswell.
A true win win situation indeed.
