TEDDY bears are in training to parachute off a church tower.

The annual event takes place at St Michael’s Church, Brantham, on July 11. Some 80 teddies have previously risked the jump. There will also be a teddy tombola, a treasure hunt and refreshments.Teddies who have sponsors jump for free. Sponsorship forms are available at the back of the church. Others pay £1 per jump. Teddies can make their own parachutes at home or at the church.

Registration opens at 2pm, with the parachuting at 2.30pm. Money raised will go to church funds. Call Ken Stuttaford on 01206 394446, for more details.
