THERE’S a long way to fall – but Colchester lad Adam Cranwell shows he can grin and bear it.
The 10-year-old Cub had a hand during a crate-stacking exercise from the new Chief Scout, Bear Grylls.
The TV presenter and explorer began a five-year stint in his new role at the weekend and young Adam became one of the first members of the global Scout movement to meet him at a special launch event.
Mr Grylls pledged to work to increase the number of adult Scout leaders as demand to join from youngsters is at an all-time high.
There are 1,300 youngsters on waiting lists in Essex alone.
