Colchester: knitting revolution takes hold


NADIA Monger has been known to hide her addiction from her friends, while other addicts are just in total denial.

That’s what happens when you are into knitting – you never know what people’s response will be.

So, for many knitting fans, it’s easier to just keep quiet about it.

But they are out there, in their droves – swapping patterns and tips on internet craft forums, and meeting in cafés for group sessions.

“It should be like Alcoholics Anonymous,” said Nadia, who suddenly got up from her chair.

“My name is Nadia and I am a knitter,” she declared, before sitting down with a giggle.
