WHITE rhinoceros are set to be released into the South African wild – helped by staff at Colchester Zoo.
Since 2004, the zoo and Action for the Wild have been working to develop the Um Phafa Private Nature Reserve, in Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa, by reintroducing species naturally found there before human intervention led many to become extinct in the area.
Colchester Zoo and its charity Action for the Wild have now announced that the first release of white rhinoceros will be taking place tomorrow.
