BURGLARS have targeted churches, public buildings and shops in a series of break-ins.
Police are investigating six burglaries in Wivenhoe, and people living in the town have been warned to be on their guard.
Intruders have forced their way into the Methodist Church, Congregational Church, public library, railway station, pavilion and a hairdresser's.
