TODDLERS went to the zoo and showed how they can do their bit for charity.
About 65 youngsters put their best foot forward and headed round a half-mile course when they took part in the Barnardo's Toddle at Colchester Zoo.
As well as the public event, to which anyone could turn up and register on the day, a large number of individual toddles are also taking place across Essex and the rest of the country, in nurseries and playgroups, as part of the annual national fundraiser for the children's charity.
A spokesman for Barnardo's said the event had gone amazingly well, and they were even more delighted that the sun had shone while the children did their bit.
"The sun shone, and in the weather we have had over the last couple of the weeks that was very welcome. It was a very good turn out," he added.
