These are the faces of the three young Paras from Colchester who brought the British Army's death toll in Afghanistan to 100.

Nineteen-year-olds Nathan Cuthbertson and Charles David Murray, and Daniel Gamble, 22 were all privates with 2nd Battalion, the Parachute Regiment.

Colchester Town Hall and the garrison are flying their union flags at half mast as a mark of respect and tributes are pouring in.

Deputy leader of Colchester Council Martin Hunt said: "These are not strangers, they are people that lived in Colchester and they shall be missed."

RIP lads. My thoughts are with the families of these 3 young men. 2 of these lads were my friends best friends, my thoughts go to him and the rest of the men remaining out in Afghanistan. It must be hard for everyone.
