Colchester: couple scoop top prize

A LUCKY couple rubbed shoulders with the stars after scooping a top prize.

Teresa and Alan Pretty, of Derwent Close, High Woods, Colchester, won an all expenses paid trip to the launch of a new television game show hosted by comedian Joe Pasquale and Suzanne Shaw, who recently won the television competition Dancing on Ice.

After watching the live launch of television channel Virgin 1's Bingo Lotto Mr and Mrs Pretty headed off to attend the glamorous star-studded party in Soho, London.

Mrs Pretty, who gave birth to son James just six weeks ago and has a three-year-old son, Daniel, said they had a fantastic time, bumping into celebrities including former steps singer Lisa Scott-Lee and Birds of a Feather star Lesley Joseph.

"We had a really lovely time," said Mrs Pretty, 32, who along with her husband, 49, took part in a free bingo game which entered them into a free draw.
