Joey Essex has not forgiven David Cameron for refusing to appear on his new show Educating Joey Essex: General Election, What Are You Saying?!

The former star of The Only Way Is Essex said the Conservative leader would be “very lucky to get an interview with Joey Essex” in the near future.

The Prime Minister was the only major party leader not to take part and Joey clearly didn’t appreciate the snub.

The reality TV star declared: “If he changes his mind and asks for an interview with me now I’ll have to tell him, ‘Maybe next election’.”

The 24-year-old reality star felt right at home with the other political heavyweights he met.

He said: “They are really immature like me. They all banter each other and I love that because they take the mickey out of what they do, the way they eat, the way they stand and their dress sense.”

“You’d think they would be more serious and professional but they all call each other geeks, beans, and eat bacon sandwiches weird (sic) so we’re all the same.”

Joey also hopes that the show will show his fans a new side to him.

He said: “I want to show the viewers that I’m not stupid. I’m not academic and I didn’t do well in school and yeah I didn’t know which country bordered with Wales when I was asked by Keith Lemon on Celebrity Juice, but I’ve got common sense and I am street-wise.”

“I think people will see another side of me and think, ‘Oh my god, he is actually really, really clever and he’s probably more cleverer (sic) than any politician out there.”

Educating Joey Essex: General Election, What Are You Saying?! airs on Tuesday May 5 at 9pm on ITV2.
