Police are no longer searching for a man in connection with an aggravated burglary.
Officers were appealing for information to find Ricky Cox in connection with a raid in Fingringhoe Road, Colchester, in December when a number of suspects forced entry to the property before pushing a person inside the house to the floor.
The burglars demanded money before pouring boiling hot water on the victim’s leg and causing burns. The victim also had a hammer held to their head.
Officers have confirmed they have no arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the raid.
Jermain Davis, 32, of Whalebone Lane North, Romford, was jailed for six years and four months for his role in the burglary when appearing at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday, June 1.
