Serving - Dave Harris helped to open the new Bad Owl coffee shop
A NEW family-run coffee shop is now open for business.
The Bad Owl has opened in Butt Road, Colchester.
Daniel Chappell, who is running the shop with assistance from family, has converted the former run-down shop into a stunning coffee shop.
The handy shop also sells takeaway food and drinks.
Councillor Dave Harris (Lab) went to open the shop.
He said: "It's the start of an exciting business venture. I was impressed with the décor, style and professional show the shop has.
"I am hoping Daniel as a energetic and enthusiastic new business entrepreneur will succeed.
"The Bad Owl is helping to transform the street scene in Butt Road and is a useful addition to the offices and new residential homes in the area."
