MORE than £7,000 has been raised for a mum with breast cancer so she can make happy memories.

Samantha Brown, from Colchester, was diagnosed with cancer in April last year.

Until December she had chemotherapy and radiotherapy, which managed to shrink the lumps. However, the cancer came back in June when she started getting back ache.

Sam, 32, of Queen Mary Avenue, is now determined to make memories with her husband Jason and their three girls - Elsie, who is 18-months-old, Olivia, who is three, and Sophie, six.

Friends and family have been raising funds for her, and have managed to raise more than £7,000 so far.

One of the girls' dreams was to visit Legoland Windsor for a family day out.

After hearing about Sam's story, Legoland were pleased to be able to make the family's dream come true through their Merlin's Magic Wand charity.

The charity provides tickets and funds travel grants to families to enjoy their day at various attractions.

The family is in the process of trying to plan their trip.

The Gazette is supporting the family's appeal to make happy memories.
