FIRE crews are battling a blaze after bales of hay caught fire while stacked in a transportation vehicle.
The blaze, which began shortly before 12.30pm, is being tackled by three fire crews from Manningtree, Ipswich and Nayland, on the A134, in Nayland.
One onlooker told the Gazette: "It all happened so fast. One minute there was no fire and the next we were all worried it would spread into the bushes.
"The fire service was on the scene really quickly and looked like it was under control."
