There’s plenty going on in Jaywick over the next six weeks.

For a start there’s Rock the Tower, a free music session where beginners or players aged eight to 18 are invited to play alongside others in a band.

That takes place on Tuesday, July 31, Tuesday, August 14, and Tuesday, August 28, from 5pm to 8pm.

If it’s your arty side you want to stretch then try Creative Net, free workshops on the first Wednesday of every month at Jaywick Martello tower.

Running from 11am to 1pm each day get along on August 1 and you can select from a broad range of reclaimed materials to create your own picture postcard thanks to Vicky of Mae Kandoo.

That’s just the workshops days because there’s plenty of events too including the Dig4 Jaywick Community Garden Open Day, next Wednesday, July 25, from 1pm to 4pm, at the community garden in Lotus Way.

there you’ll be able to view the progress made in the garden and to find out about their plans for the coming year. Again the Jaywick Martello Tower Team will be at the garden running an arts and crafts event with Vicky of Mae Kandoo. Entry is free.

Finally Jaywick Summer Fair is next Saturday, July 28, from 11am to 3pm, at Golf Green Hall, Golf Green Road where there will be plenty of traditional games, a fancy dress competition and food and drink.
